Sustainability Seminar and Permaculture Tour
May 18th and 19th 2013
Learn how to become sustainable and live off-grid. 2-Day Seminar, Saturday and Sunday 9AM to 4PM each day
Location is a 60-acre permaculture farm in the Bastrop area
Free camping with facilities available.
Lunch each day will be potluck style. Bring a dish and beverage to share.
We will forage for veggies in the garden, and possibly fish in the lake.
No other food will be provided.
Also, bring ice chest, campchairs, and fishing pole if you’re so inclined.
Seminar will cover:
*Sustainable permaculture construction, using rammed earth tires, and recycled materials with concrete domes
*Food production of produce and protein with Aquaponics
*Thermal mass principles
*Cooling with convection draw
*Thermal mass rocket heaters
*Solar and wind power
*Rainwater catchment
*Water recycling
*Sewage treatment
*Alternative energy production
*Transportation
Fee is $100 for 2 days.
